Education:
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
- Outpatient experience preferred.
- Temporary coverage, travel therapy, float, or contract experience is helpful.
- BLS or CPR certification preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
- Create and progress individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, function, and patient goals.
- Deliver hands-on, patient-centered care focused on movement, strength, mobility, balance, and long-term function.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activity, and functional training.
- Educate patients on their condition, recovery plan, and home exercise program.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation in the clinic’s EMR system.
- Communicate patient progress with clinic staff, referring providers, and care team members.
- Collaborate with the clinic team to maintain continuity of care during the temporary assignment.
- Manage a consistent daily caseload while maintaining excellent clinical outcomes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional treatment environment.
- Follow clinic standards, state practice guidelines, and Physical Therapist scope of practice.
Skills:
- Strong outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatment skills.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional rehabilitation.
